Two thumbs up!
Our grade: Good.

What We Think:
We cannot even start describing how
much children liked this software course, and how well they
progressed using it!
This course comprises of a software
program specifically written to make kids love learning to read
music and to play the piano, instead of hating it and trying to skip
class and practice.
The software is arranged so that eight
jovial smiley-type characters perform all the teaching. Through 20
fun lessons, these characters teach numerous subjects such as
reading notes and sheet music, learning note names, recognizing note
position on the keyboard and (of course) playing beginners piano.
The software even helps develop the children's musical ear (pitch).
The teaching is first rate, and we
could not find any real flaws in the product. To encourage learning
and motivate the kids, the course presents rewards, medallions, and
even enables printing certificates of achievement, for framing and
hanging on the wall. What a great touch!
To the children, the course is one big
computer game - a lot of fun, guiding them through games, quizzes
and challenges. You, as a parent or teacher, would be pleased to see
them practicing again and again, learning to read music and to play
the piano. Probably the nicest part is that they would be so busy
having fun, that they won't even notice that what they are actually
doing is learning.
For parents who want to teach the
piano to more than one child, and for piano teachers, the software
course allows separately tracking the progress of many children (up
to 50). This enables each child to progress at his/her own pace,
continuing the next session from where he/she previously left off.
It also enables you to monitor their progress, identify which
children are progressing rapidly, and children which are having a
This course easily wins our Editor's
Choice award for teaching children how to
play the piano. Adults
should prefer a more comprehensive program
that will also enable them to learn advanced items, but if you are a
children's piano teacher, if you want to teach your children the
piano or if you are a child at heart - this course is for you.
